HELM Diamond Drilling is actively hiring Foremen, Drillers, Driller Helpers, and support crew members for mineral exploration programs across Western and Northern Canada.
Our projects are primarily remote and camp-based, requiring dependable individuals committed to safe production and professional work standards. Relevant drilling experience and required certifications, including valid First Aid, are expected.

The Foreman is responsible for the overall supervision, safety, and performance of the drill crew and equipment on site. Reporting to management, the Foreman ensures drilling operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client expectations and company standards.
Responsibilities include coordinating daily drilling activities, maintaining production targets, completing required reports and documentation, overseeing equipment maintenance, and managing crew performance. The Foreman is the primary point of contact between the client and HELM Diamond Drilling and must demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience operating and supervising diamond drill operations
- Strong leadership and crew management skills
- Ability to work in remote locations for extended rotations
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards
- Ability to complete daily reporting and site documentation accurately
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C-AED
- Valid WHMIS certificate
Reporting to the Foreman, the Driller is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of diamond drilling equipment to achieve maximum core recovery and production targets. The Driller leads the drill deck, mentors Helpers, and ensures equipment is properly maintained and operated.
Daily responsibilities include drill setup and tear down, rod handling, equipment inspections, hydraulic and water system maintenance, monitoring drilling performance, and maintaining accurate operational records.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience operating a diamond drill
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in physically demanding conditions
- Ability to travel and work in remote locations for extended periods
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental practices
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C-AED
- Valid WHMIS certificate
The Driller Helper supports the Driller in all aspects of diamond drilling operations. This is a physically demanding position that plays a key role in maintaining productivity and safety on site.
Responsibilities include rod handling, core tube preparation and emptying, assisting with drill setup and tear down, maintaining water systems and pumps, connecting hydraulic lines, equipment cleaning and maintenance, and general site support duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Physically fit and capable of working 12-hour day or night shifts
- Ability to work in remote locations for extended rotations
- Mechanical experience considered an asset
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C-AED
- Valid WHMIS certificate
